 Registration
Update on 5/30/2013 regarding 2013-2014 student organization registration:
The University of Georgia is currently exploring options to change the existing student organization registration system to better meet the needs of our current students. Due to the possible changes, registration for the 2013-2014 year will not open in mid-April as traditionally scheduled. No registration sessions are scheduled for spring or summer of 2013. The Center for Student Organizations (CSO) will communicate updates regarding registration & this process via the student organization listserv and CSO website when new information is available.
In an effort to accommodate student organizations, some exceptions have been made regarding how funds will be spent and space will be reserved.
If you were registered in 2012-2013 and you have an allocation for the 2013-2014 year you can use your allocated funds up until September 15, 2013. If you are not registered for 2013-2014 by September 15, 2013 you will lose access to your organization's allocated funds. Access may be restored once you have registered the organization for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Typically student organizations can make reservations six (6) months in advance in the Tate Student Center and Memorial Hall. Organizations that are registered for 2012-2013 will be permitted to make space reservations in the Tate Student Center & Memorial Hall for the fall semester until August 30, 2013. Any reservation requests for academic space, including the Miller Learning Center (MLC), will require your organization to be registered for the 2013-2014 academic year. Additionally, reservations made after August 30, 2013 will require a valid 2013-2014 registration. Although 2012-2013 student organizations will be able to reserve space for the fall semester, if your organization has not completed registration for 2013-2014 by September 15, 2013, all of your reserved spaces will be cancelled.
We anticipate the 2013-2014 annual student organization registration process opening between mid-July and mid-August; however, no exact dates have been solidified at this time. Again, please keep an eye on the CSO website and listserv for updates. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
